Satyam Fashion Institute is affiliated to SNDT Women's University, Mumbai, a Government University, also the first university for women in India & South East Asia.
The university is committed to the cause of women's empowerment through access to education particularly higher education through relevant courses in formal and informal streams and provides a wide range of professional and vocational courses for women to cater to the changing socio - economic needs, with human values and purposeful social responsibility and to achieve excellence with quality in every activity.
In 1951 the university acquired statutory recognition from the Government of Maharashtra. This recognition came along with the rare privilege of jurisdictions across the country. The University has three campuses one in Pune and one each at Chruchgate and Juhu in Mumbai. The University has more than 200 affiliated colleges in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Goa and Utter Pradesh. The University for the first time has extended its division in the Northern part of India in Delhi NCR by giving affiliation to SATYAM FASHION INSTITUTE, NOIDA for the degree of B. Design (4 years) with specialization in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Lifestyle / Fashion Accessories & Fashion Communication and also Post Graduation (2 years) in Fashion, Retail Management & AMM.
