Satyam’s faculty makes a conscious effort to include the right mix of presentation activities in their teachings so that students gain presentation and public speaking skills.

• The institute has its own language lab with orell software to skill the students in spoken English. Besides SFI has contracted with a professional language teaching institute to provide regular English classes during the work week for the students. These classes are provided to all students at SFI.
• Saturday Workshops- Personality Development-In addition to academic learning during the Saturday Workshops, it is mandatory for final year students at SFI to attend 2 hours of personality development and advanced English language sessions. These sessions are conducted by top experts. Junior level students may also attend these sessions-only as observers.
• Weekly Seminar- faculty at SFI pick one Ph.D level research paper every week , and provide simple explanation and lead a one hour discussion on the paper with final year students in a highly interactive manner. Junior level students are encouraged to also attend these seminars.
• Winter and Summer Break Assignments- all students at SFI get an Assignment Dossier during their Winter and Summer break holidays. The dossier includes that require reading, summarizing, practical, and personality development by the students in their holiday break. In 2009-10s, SFI students did a research project on awareness and spending on Indian fashion by NRIs who visit India. The research revealed that Manish Malhotra, Rohit Bal, and Ritu Kumar were the three most favorite designers for NRIs.
